New for 2009, A series of landscape images often including trees and distant views as part of a surreal and imagined
world of dark but striking and thought provoking solitude. A further collection of hairy bikers, mods and scooter guys.
Studies of faces from the real world with maybe a twist of exaggerated features just to make them stand out. I am often inspired by real people and their extraordinary faces, hair or expressions
and recreating them as part of a vivid and humorous perspective on humanity and its many and diverse forms. Kevin Marron’s artwork is produced using pencils, paints, photography and
sometimes a mixture of these. Kevin as an accomplished artist, cartoonist, caricaturist and photographer and is comfortable working with all or any of the above media. Most of his work is done in pencil and pastels, although you will often find evidence of
acrylic or water colour paints too. Doodling, scribbling and writing have
been part of Kevin’s life from a young age and he is entirely self-taught. He has been commissioned to design illustrations for books, magazines and personal collectors. He has held exhibitions extensively and his work has been sold internationally.
With so many sources to draw on, fascinating landscapes, unique faces, and unusual viewpoints, Kevin is likely to continue drawing until someone tells him to stop.
